Left, Right, and Center

This podcast was a new one for me. Based solely on the title, I was drawn in. "Left, Right, and Center" immediately made me think that they cover topics from all sides of the political spectrum, and they do just that. Left, Right, and Center is produced by KCRW, a radio station broadcasted by Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, California. The show consists of a panel of commentators who fall on all parts of the political spectrum. The objective of the show is to discuss and debate the week's biggest news and developments in the political landscape. This show was first started over 19 years ago, in 1996, as a half-hour show and has now turned into a full-hour political commentary platform. The powerful thing about a podcast and commentary show like this is that they are bringing in a wide range of listeners. Most podcasts and commentaries only focus on one side of the political aisle and cater their content to them, but "Left, Right, and Center" does the opposite. They encourage people from all over to tune in and listen to the political debate from the panel and be open to all viewpoints. The beautiful thing about a platform like this is that it is essentially bringing people together and letting different viewpoints be heard. It is becoming rare as time goes on because it feels as though these conversations are being dismissed, and others aren't open to other viewpoints and only want to hear what they align with.

As someone relatively new to podcasts, it is one that I occasionally like to put on. What about you? Do you listen to or like the "Left, Right, and Center" podcast?
